Don't Spoil the Plot!

He sighed and glanced around him as the fabric of space warped around him.  Suddenly, the forest of autumn leaves gave way to the blackness of space.  There were tiny points of light in the pitch blackness–twinkling stars blanketing the darkness.  He looked up at a central point where it seemed time and space itself collided and formed into one being.  The being before him was something incomprehensible.  No word in any language could described this being's form.  It simply just existed.  However, the being's incomprehensible form was hidden in a shroud of blinding, blue-white light.  Around the glowing being were nine, massive blue-white stars.  They were the echoes of the very first nine stars that came into being after the Big Bang, which started the Multiverse.  Through their deaths the necessary building blocks of life could form.  However, here they were, shining as if they were still in their prime, monuments to their sacrifice.  Their light did not bother him one bit.  Towards the center of the massive suns were five draconic heads radiating from a central point behind the glowing being.  Each head had a different color, red, blue, green, black, and white.

The mode of communication was also even more difficult to explain.  It was not vocal, nor was it through any other senses, not even psychic.  However, the communication was there.  If any ordinary person were to hear them speak, it is believed, their minds would begin to bleed out through their ears because they could not wrap their minds on how it was done.

Do you like meddling with those creatures on that world you so blatantly corrupted?

The being lowered itself down onto the solid, mirroring plane.  As it did so, the glow dissipated, revealing a body more identifiable for lower life forms.  Humans are to the amoeba, this being was far beyond what any sentient creature could understand.  It encompassed multiple planes and multiple dimensions all at the same time.  It was everywhere at once.

You contaminated all that I have created with your little arrogant stunt.

He lowered his head in shame when he heard the voice berate him.

Not only that, you have endangered the existence of the Multiverse.  I kept that planet devoid of sentient life and especially sentient life capable being aware of the other dimensions or having the understanding of entropy for a reason.  Now, the chain has been connected.  He can travel anywhere he wants.  Not even my barrier will hold him.

"I am sorry," he said.

As the light dimmed to only a soft blue glow, he looked upon the being's form.  Standing before him appeared to be a creature known as a Kethosian Precursor (strange gigantic, highly advanced creatures with wolf-like heads, horns of dragons, but humanoid bodies), but he knew better.  There were no Kethosians who had pure white coloration.  She even dressed like them, wearing kimono-like robes all layered in pastel colors.  Her long, white hair was bound in twin tails trailing down her back, over her ornate cloak.  Behind her neck was a stream of glowing fibers.  They flowed out and up into the air, only to fade into nothing at the tips.  Knowledge in the form of data patterns seemed to be flowing out from them.  She could take on many forms if she wanted to and the same was for him.

They were hyper-dimensional, extraplanar beings who's existence spanned far beyond the beginning of the Multiverse, in fact far beyond the beginning or end of any universe.  They were two of very few who have seen multiple universes begin and end.  She was the the head of pantheon of these hyper-dimensional beings, holding the very knowledge of matter manipulation to instantly create life and give it purpose within her hands.  To the lower life forms that have been created through the explosion of stardust, beings like these two were simply known as gods.  She is known as the High God while he was her Watcher.  He was her second in command and she shared a bit of her power to have him act as her liaison in the Prime Plane–that is until he betrayed her.  He thought he could do what she did, but he decided to experiment with the wrong planet.  She kept many secrets from him, and this was one of them.

There were very few planets that existed in the Mulitverse that had identical twins, and even fewer have duplicates that spanned the entire Prime Plane itself.  Earth was one such planet.  Be it by chance or by design, because of its proximity, it was one of those few planets that could intersect all nine dimensions at once and therefore create multiple copies of itself without hardly any variation.  An event that happened on an Earth in the 1st Dimension would most likely happen on an Earth in the 2nd and 3rd Dimensions as well.  However, when the High God discovered the rift that brought forth creatures from the Far Realm like the Hydra, she feared that these monsters would use that link to corrupt her creation.  So, she stopped it by sealing the Hydra up in one of the dimensions and forbade other Power that Be from attempting to alter the evolutionary pattern of only one Earth.  She made this rule as well to the other few planets that shared this trait.  So far, many of the Powers followed her order, except for one–King Bahamut–the Watcher.  Bahamut was only one of his names.

He was her second in command, he was once her husband as well.  He was the light to her dark, together, they were the Balance.  The light betrayed her.  The asteroid that brought forth the knowledge, the energy, the essence of intelligence to the Earth chosen not to have such, was the final link the Hydra needed.  Now, he was manifesting himself through an Acolyte in a dimension he is forbidden from going in.

And you defend him.

"He's my friend," said Bahamut. "I couldn't let him swim around in that soup of madness."

What am I going to do?  I have to take him.  He cannot be allowed to wonder the Mulitverse.  He is an Abomination!

"I won't let you."

Are you willing to fight me, Paladine?

She took on a defensive stance.  Bahamut paused when he heard her call out his real name.  It was a name that he had not used in a long time.  He folded his six wings in and sighed.

"You know I can't do that, Takhisis," he said, returning the favor. "Doing so would cost the lives of...well everything.  I wouldn't know where to begin to put it all back together if I even succeed in taking you down as you did Ao before."

She turned around and stared deeply at the image of Bahamut's Earth.

What move do you intend on performing next, dear?

"I figured I wait it out," said Bahamut. "See what Asemodeus is cooking up next."  He drew himself closer to her, leaning his head over her shoulder. "Of course, I have a feeling you already know what that is."

Nothing ever surprises me.

"Well then, what does that all powerful computer you call your mind tell you?"

I can only tell you what has passed,
she replied. I do not give the outcome of the future.  However, the answer is in entropy.  You know that when this universe came into being, so did the Powers that Be.  I gave them life as I did the first stars and set them to watch over Existence while you watched them.  When it is time for all high energy to settle into a lower state, Entropy will run its course.  Entropy will even come to the Powers that Be.  Entropy will come to your friend as well.  Only you and I who exist outside the Laws can defy Entropy.  Another 15 billion years and the Dark Age will begin as the lonely photon becomes the master.    Asemodeus does not want this to be his fate, to rule over darkness until even he freezes and rips apart...atomic particle by atomic particle.

"Not even you can stop Entropy," said Bahamut.

Entropy comes to all things but us, she said. But we have not the power to stop it.  What Asemodeus is asking for is impossible.  But he sees that little mad science experiment of yours as the means to make it possible to stop Entropy.</i>

"Why?"

You've been so busy with your 'best friend', <Takhisis began with a snarl upon her lip. That you failed to even figure it out.  The answer is the Hydra.  The Far Realm does not follow Entropy.  The Stone of Aster gives the Hydra his connection to your Earth.  Your friend has the Stone of Aster.  Asemodeus wants your friend.

"He wants to join the Hydra?"

Is that your conclusion? she asked.

"You mentioned it!" Bahamut called. "Stop being so damned cryptic!"

Ask yourself what is the possible outcome before you reach to your solution,
said the High God. And when you figure that out, you will know the answer.  I have given you plenty of information to go on.  The rest is up to you.  But the connection between your friend and the Hydra is a problem.  Asemodeus, along with others like him, do not want to just hang up the keys when the lights go out.  They, like all living beings, want to survive even well beyond their expiration date.

"I suppose so," said Bahamut.

She waved her hand and another image of another Earth slightly different than Bahamut's appeared before them.

I sent the Hydra here,
she said. My agents can take care of him, at least keep him busy until you handle Asemodeus.</i>

"Me?" he asked.

You.

"If I fight him, it could very well break the fabric of reality," he said. "Gods are not allowed to fight each other.  We create rifts when we do.  That's why we have people to do the work for us."

I know,
she said. But if I am lucky, the rift you will create fighting Asemodeus will destroy your project and finally break the chain, once more trapping the Hydra.

"I will assist Jonathan," said Bahamut. "But I will not fight Asemodeus.  I won't let my Earth come to harm."

And so, you continue to defy me.  Don't you know that what you are doing is putting everything in danger?

"You are so great and powerful now," he said in a dismissive tone as he turned away from her. "You can keep all of that from happening. All you have to do is will it."

I can't interfere.

Once more, they were at a stalemate.  He did not want to fight Asemodeus, and she did not want to interfere.  Bahamut knew that he needed her help in this and he knew that her agents later on may need her help as well.  His eyes brightened up when he began to churn a solution through his head.

"If I fight Asemodeus, then I want you to promise me something," Bahamut began. "I want you to to promise me that you will interfere.  I want you to interfere twice, in fact.  I want you to interfere here on my Earth first, but then, you can pick some event that happens later anywhere in the Multiverse to interfere with.  But I will hold you to the promise that you will.  When I face Asemodeus, I want you to remake the Earth just as it was.  I know you can."

The High God sighed and lowered herself to the floor.  She gave a shake to her head in dismay.  She saw the reflection of Bahamut as he approached her again and she peered up at him.

If I interfere here, then I must interfere elsewhere...and it will be the old universe all over again.  Everything stagnate, everything weak and prime for the Far Realm to destroy...

"Just twice for me," he said, lifting a claw to her chin. "And then, you can go back to being all aloof and snobby."

Thanks...

He could have sworn he heard a snort from her.

"Do this for me."

Very well,
said Takhisis. If my agents handling the Hydra cannot handle him anymore, then I will interfere.  That will be my second promise.  The first is helping you.

"I know Jon will appreciate it."

Your friend doesn't even like us, she said. In fact, he doesn't even like you...or rather Bahamut.  He seems to like Galen just fine.  Sooner or later, you will have to tell him the truth.

"It may be sooner than later."
Apparently, some of you are really desperate to know what the heck is going on. Well, maybe this will clear it up, maybe it won't. Dunno.

Alright, for some strange reason, I'm getting favs from people I don't really think have either read the Crimson Dragon or anything related to what BDM is writing or what I've written in the past...

So, just a little question, are you guys faving because you think I'm making a point about plot spoiling due to the title of this little prose?

If that is the case. Um, prepare for some disappointment. It's literally about the major gods of my complicated Multiverse giving away the plot to what the Big Bads are up to in the Crimson Dragon with some hints to BDM's Mass Effect. Just thought I'd let you know.

Yeah, it may be a good idea to read the story before faving so you'd know what you're faving.

As for the stupid assed code...I don't know what's going on. I think DA is screwed up. So sorry.

Ah, so Takhisis finally makes her appearance into this universe. For some reason, I don't feel like one that can be trusted. She seems too fickle and willing to try to backstab her former husband, Paladine (Nice to see more Dragonlance references!) in order to get back at him for disobeying her in the creation of the Crimson Dragon universe's Earth.

From what I can tell, there are three main bad guy factions in play here. You've got the Hydra from the Far Realm who wants to destroy everything, the demon lord Asemodeus who wants to conquer everyone, life forever, and keep the Hydra away, and the High God Takhisis. Wow, that a pretty evil triumvirate of villains all working in opposition to one another for different goals.

Hm, I wonder if Paladine/Galen would try to get Valerie/Veloihthrax on his side too...
