No Need for the Black Dragon by Ghostwalker2061 No Need for the Black Dragon by Ghostwalker2061
The only thing I have to say is....Nel, honey, back away slowly. The Emperor is not in his best of moods.

Kinda improved on the sword in No Need for An Explanation.

And, Kedzuel, damn, man...don't ever get on his bad side. What did poor Nel do to get on his bad side? You decide! Fill in the blanks.

This is a thing that I used to do long ago before posting on DA was putting Emperor Kedzuel in well some of my fan favorites, either on the side of the character of that book or movie, or in Nel's case, against.

And it's to show of Kedzie's Technomancy! Yay magic/science!

And yes, that is Neltharion's blind left eye you are looking at. And his newly acquired white streaks in his beard.

Okay, I'm done. Commission time! Boy do I have a long list to do.

Neltharion/Deathwing Blizzard

Emperor Kedzuel Ghostwalker2061

Edit, needed to be brightened

Probably just some hair jealousy. Nel can't get that Just For Men: Touch of Gray just right to pull off that seductive silvery shade Kedzuel's got goin' on at the front. (:

Kedzuel and Nel, fighting for the attention and love of their creator. Aw, they should know you love them both equally. Maybe Nel should try to pull Kedzuel's tendrils, I'm sure he'll feel that. If it's the equivalent of pulling someone's hair.

Nice work, I can see that there's a lot more of tension and movement in this one.

Yes, but that would probably lead to a fight between Syrena and Calia over who gets to save squishy Nel.

Actually not. Syerna would be saving Nel from Kedzuel because Syrena is a racist against the Blitzardi and probably would use Neltharion as an example of a victim from Blitzardi brutality.

Calia would save Nel because he's squishy and lovable and he's her husband and she wants to cuddle him.

Syrena...Syrena is actually in love with Kedzuel, but her hatred for the Blitzardi is so great that it conflicts with this secret crush that she has to berate and reprimand and scandalize, and politically attack Kedzuel's character. And she would use Neltharion as a means to do that because Kedzuel threatened to lop his head off with a technoblade.

Hmm, I'm guess that since Nel's been getting a bunch of attention with all those, albeit awesome, drawings Kedzuel is getting jealous. Though I'd love more Nel art, it's up to you what you draw...but I do love your drawings of him...so...cool...but Kedzie is awesome too! Nice race!

I think you're the only one who would love more Nel art. I've been told people are tired of Nel. Which is why I did this image of a character they've rarely seen, but has been with me for 20 years, take down Neltharion, who's only been around for a year, but has become seen by a lot of people.

Hmm, I see the unfairness between characters. I'm just a big WoW Fanatic and adore Nel, though Deathwing is also pretty sweet(appearance wise:D). Course, since I don't know Kedzuel very well, your doing more art of him will allow me to make his acquaintance.
But that's just my two cents.

Eeek angry emperor Ked is angry! D: Considering that he can essentially do whatever he wants with his (is it along the lines of controlling energy or technology or just matter itself? I might have gotten it confused, but in your description it says Technomancy, and I still have yet to go through all the other stories you've linked me), yeah, there's no contest there... Poor Nel.
Now what did he do to get on Kedz' bad side I wonder...
Maybe Nel got drunk and uhm, accidentally spewed lava vomit on his foot or something. I'd be pretty pissed about that too. :XD:
I don't think Nel realizes his mistake though, he looks like nothing happened, cept his eye is the color of the sword- is that just lighting or is Nel reacting too?
You have some amazing effects in this artwork, though. I love the lighting you did on Kedz' suit, fur, and claws, particularly. Favving! :D

Technomancy is actually reality warping as well as the ability to connect to a vast database filled with all the knowledge of every civilization that had ever existed in the universe. The connection though is limited to the understanding of the person downloading the information. But it allows civilizations that have not previously gained faster than light travel to gain it. It also allows for the bending of the laws of physics but not right out breaking them.

The Blitzardi, because they already have a natural ability to control energy, now as Technomancers can manipulate it on an advanced scale that is beyond normal human understanding. But basic Technomancers all can create the technoblade, which is pretty much a ball of energy squeezed out into a long rod from the hand. But powerful technomancers like Kedzuel can do Jedi tricks with that sword.

And the glowing light flowing from the back of Kedzuel are the Connector Cords to the Great Array, which is the interdimensional database that Technomancers connect to.

Kiryuu and Malcho have equated connecting to the Array as basically learning the secrets of God. But it is still limited to the person's understanding and ability to use this knowledge. Low level Technomancers can just harness the power from the Array as a means to augment their physical abilities. Masters can reality warp with it like performing teleportation. The only thing they can't do is time travel.

Malcho as a Technomancer Master once gated a rip in spacetime by grabbing it with his hands and tying it into a bow tie. Emperor Khan, Kedzuel's evil uncle, can actually take the Old Gods and banish them back to wherever dark dimension they came from. And he did that with the Reapers as well.

That's the best way I can explain what Technomancy is. And when someone Connects to the Array, they kinda go Super Sayan, eyes change color to that blue cyan glow, those stripes appear on their faces and such.

As for what Nel did. I have no idea. Kedzuel is just having a very bad day and Nel is getting the front of it.

That makes sense. Thank you for the explanation! And yeah, Nel, even if he had the ability to use Technomancy (snrk), it would be shortlived because he wouldn't be able to understand any of it, correct? That's why the Blitzardi and the other Technomancers rule the universe, more or less I am assuming? Besides the point that no one wants to mess with their bad side, I mean. o.o And is the rip a place for them to be, in a sense, in exile forever? Or does no one know what the rip does with the exception that it forever rids them of existence?

Actually, given the fact that Nel is basically born with the knowledge of the Titans, namely Khaz'Goroth, I would think he'd be able to use Technomancy quite well. I kinda thought that the Titans were at least on a similar level in technology to let's say the Forerunners from Halo.

The Kethosians, at least in BDM's story, were not rulers of the universe, they were protectors. Blitzardi were the military of the Kethosians and of course being that, their ruler was the Emperor of the Kethosians. And in BDM's story, they are known as the Precursors. Cerenath Khan, feeling disillusioned about his people's status as protectors, decided to move the Kethosians to the remote and sparsely populated Andromeda. And then, in a fit of lustful power, Khan conquered it, trying to set himself up as a god. That's when the Blitzardi became true rulers. Kedzuel and Syrena took Khan down and killed him in a rebellion, but then when Khan died, he fucked up the Array so much that no one could make any sense of it to repair their technology and they found themselves stranded in Andromeda repairing their stuff. And when BDM's ready, the Kethosians, especially the Blitzardi are going to join the Turians and the Krogans, the Asari, and the Earth's forces against the Reaper threat.

As for the original story, yeah, they were the rulers of the galaxy all because Khan was an evil fuck. They become less so when Kedzuel comes into power.

The rip was created by magic when Dunkelzhan, the first non-human president prior to Kiryuu's term as President, died in a magical detonation at the Watergate Hotel. During the coming of Haley's Comet, it started spewing out all sorts of nasties and Malcho, an Earth dragon who could use Technomancy, had to come and use Technomancy to gate it.

Technomancers don't currently rule the universe either. On Earth, Technomancy is relatively banned from use, but then regulated to secret government organizations, especially to maintain the pocket dimension they banished the Invae to after Kiryuu Knight detonated a bomb in Chicago to get rid of them.

Kiryuu Knight uses Technomancy to change his size since his real size is nearly 200 feet tall. Malcho uses Technomancy in secret to create his space ships and also to allow him to be only one of two Earth Dragons to be able to leave the Mana Sphere without falling into Shal-Mora, a dragon's hibernation, caused by withdrawals from magic.

As for the banishing. That's one of the duties of the Kethosians, banishing Elderich monsters like N'Zoth from the universe because they are corrupting it. Maybe that's why Kedzuel is kinda mad at Neltharion. Neltharion in the universe of Kedzuel and Kiryuu and Alan Tyler, is considered Far Realm Touched, aka an Abomination, meaning, he was possessed by the creatures of the Far Realm, which basically are the Old Gods from Warcraft. And it is Kedzuel's duty to utterly destroy anyone with the taint of the Far Realm on them.

One of the original ideas for Neltharion's story was that he and Azeroth were set in the universe Kiryuu and Kedzuel and Telek and Alan come from, and creatures like N'Zoth, were just another form of King Ghidorah, the Elderich Old God in my universe. And Neltharion was once one of King Ghidorah's Acolytes, but cured of his affliction. An Acolyte was a being that King Ghidorah controlled to usher in his arrival. And that was the original thought for Nel too. But I decided to let his story stand on its own and have no relation or bearings in the universe, BDM and I wrote. But some of the ideas from that original story of Neltharion was still in the Coffer, like N'Zoth talking to Nel and making fun of him, bringing down his self esteem, and such. Neltharion constantly having nightmares of his own death, something that Telek had many times as he was succumbing to King Ghidorah's power. The constant threat that N'Zoth could possess Neltharion at any time, like King Ghidorah could do to Kiryuu and Telek despite the fact that they were "cured" of his influence. Neltharion's ability to sense Old Gods (touched on more in Murozond's Gift) and that coming from Kiryuu and Telek's ability to sense King Ghidorah after their possession. And of course Neltharion's own abhorring of the Old Gods and not even wanting to ever go near them, something Telek felt towards King Ghidorah. And each time Neltharion got overly emotional or even angry, his eyes turned red. Telek and Kiryuu's eyes also did the same, and it was a symbol of the fact that they are still somewhat afflicted with the taint of the Far Realm.

Hmmm. I thought that Neltharion was born only with the knowledge of Khaz'Goroth, as his titan was the one that shaped him. Though, thinking on it, I suppose that would mean he would get the knowledge of the titans since they are all beings of creation. I also tried to mention he'd have trouble with it because of how dense he can be sometimes with humor, as well as the memory that Deathwing ripped from him when Nel regained his consciousness, referencing your fanfiction writings. He has a great knowledge of Azeroth but he's never shared more knowledge past the planet, with the exception of how his brood become Netherwing Drakes en route to Outland.

And Technomancy is like a... gifted knowledge- It cannot rule for being too powerful, and has to be monitored and banned in certain places that it would cause havoc and/or upheaval.

And I could see Ked getting upset over that... He might be frustrated that he can't kill Nel for fear of destroying the planet.

I like the idea of having all your characters share the same traits (AKA eye changing, background, etc), but at the same time I think having Neltharion keep to his storyline vaguely may have been a lot easier to write with. That's just my opinion though- You're very comfortable writing about your Universe- I just feel that the end result would have been more difficult to come by. I certainly enjoyed the way it turned out, however.

Not Kedz's ass, that's for sure. Unfortunately. When Kedzuel pretty much owns a ship that can atomize a planet, Nel is in deep trouble. And the fact that Kedzuel's species conquered an entire galaxy.

Kedzuel's evil uncle Khan makes guys like Deathwing and the Lich King look like pansies. I'm not kidding. And Khan didn't need voices in his head to make him nuts or some possessed sword either.
