Where Stars are Born by Ghostwalker2061 Where Stars are Born by Ghostwalker2061
Hope you like this image. Took me a while to do it. Had to work on the clouds.

Done in partially 3D studio max and Photoshop CS3.

I like this one
I'd use maya 3d max
but I'm afraid to open it
every time I try to do something I screw up
I'll just stick to photoshop cs2

... whoa...

Absolutely awesome.
Did you have some kind of guide or presets to your programs for some of the effects (e.g. clouds) or did you really just sit down and do it?

Where do you get 3d studio max, and is it expensive?

3DS Max isn't as expensive as Maya, but it is costly.

No, I didn't use any guides, I just did it.

This is a wonderfully rendered peice! It looks almost like fractal art. Although it could use a little more color, just so the eye has more to be attracted too.

The red is just another type of gas that is being ignited as the stars are being formed.

correction: does it ever get to you at random times?

You... need your own show.
